When Zuri Mensah moved from Accra to London, she missed the flavours of home. What started as weekend cooking for friends became Sankofa Kitchen — now one of Brixton's most loved restaurants.

Rooted in tradition

"Every dish tells a story," says Zuri. "Our jollof recipe has been in my family for three generations."

Today the business is expanding to Peckham, bringing authentic West African cuisine to even more people across the diaspora.
